Might I suggest that Twitter refugees include their generalized location in bios? The process of reestablishing a network will result in making new connections and you may not always know someone's location.

More importantly, this place is far less American-centric than Twitter, and having to ID as American (if you are) might remind you that the US is not the entire world.

@Tenkawa Oh, I moved there. I came with all the others who discovered the city in the 2010s.
@emptywheel I had no idea it was so popular, having left in 1974. I had a 10-room house on Dunham that I bought for $14,300 and sold for a bit more.
@Tenkawa We lived in Cherry Hill -- in what I understand was a wildly gentrified neighborhood by the time we arrived.
@emptywheel I'm sure it was. When I was working on the (failed) McGovern campaign, I had a sit-on-the-floor lunch in that area with Jane Fonda, at some friends' apartment.
