(Btw, Mastodon and Toot makes for the most unfortunate portmanteaus 😂; everything I try sounds like it belongs on a title of an adult website)

@Pauly Morning! You probably mean before "-'lings"? Not sure at this point, but perhaps Mastodon tries to resolve things that look like usernames to links and when it fails that's what happens? Did it show good still while you edited your toot?
Unrelated to this problem, it's floe with an e, by the way. 😃

@Pauly Looks like Mastodon removes only the name of your own instance. Could be that it has something to do with the fact that it tries to render user handles without the server part if they are on your own server.
