OmarLots of Mastodon instances are struggling with the heavy influx of users. Twitter was the same in the early days. The Fail Whale, was something you’d see on a regular basis. Gives it a chance, things will get better.
John 🏴 🇪🇺 🏍️@omar Agree it takes time for server instances to adjust to large spikes in traffic so don't be surprised to see the occasional 500 error as loads balance out. It will resolve in time. I am sure the poor server guys are worked off their feet at the moment. Probably just wanted to discuss what they did on a particular RTS last night and didn't expect all this.
