Going to try to post some stuff that is not about tech policy, not about the other site, etc. You know, just fun stuff.

So here: if you like card magic (hell, even if you don't think you like card magic), you should watch Dani DaOrtiz's performance on Penn & Teller's Fool Us this weekend, which shows why he is the greatest card magician in the world right now. It's not on YouTube yet, but I think it will be soon.

If I remove the @name in the inputbox after I click reply on a post, is the reply thread broken, as one might think it would be?
@shoq i still see it... and it's still threaded, so.. no. that's weird behavior.
@shoq @name the thread is not broken. Sort of like on Twitter, only the mentioned usernames are notified of your reply.
Huh, it seems to reply just fine after the @name is redacted, but it's appearing in random order in the expanded panel. It's getting easier to see why many get so flummoxed. We'll adapt.
@mmasnick I'll need to keep an eye out. It's a show we catch every so often and always enjoy but never remember to actively seek it out.
@gibwar yup, I get it. The show with Dani is Season 9 Episode 4. Most magicians put their clip on YouTube. Dani hasn't yet, but he sent it around on his own private link to friends as a "preview" so I'm guessing it'll go up on YT soon. It's great.

@mmasnick

This was amazing!

It was a fantastic performance and the more you know about magic, the more amazing it becomes.

The look of befuddled awe on Teller's face at the end shows just how incredible it was.

@krow yup. and here's the thing, even if you know how he does everything he does (which I do), it's still absolutely astounding. He's so good. My mission is to make people realize he's the greatest card magician alive right now.
