@psr Thank you! Way over timberline is right! This was a campsite built into the rocky slope around 13,400’, just below Trail Crest. No water up there so we had to haul it up from Guitar Lake.

@juanmelli spectacular. Would love to go there. Related to that, I’m currently reading The High Sierra - A Love Story, by SF author Kim Stanley Robinson (this his first work of non-fiction). He’s a decades long regular backpacker of the High Sierra, and his love of the place really shines through. Highly recommended 👍🏻
