@josephguhlin So... I joined mastodon.social.. what I don't understand is if i should move to a "science" one to see more science or stay on a "general" one and somehow subscribe to an aggregator of science to see that? Still rather confused about this.

@josephguhlin @ProfBatGirl well, there is a timeline with people you follow, that will give you science updates if you follow such people. There is also a "local" timeline from your server. If you have a certain niche interest, you might find that interesting (eg to find new people to follow).

It's a bit like picking email. And some servers have extra options (like icons). Oh, and some servers have specific rules, too...
