This instance has doubled in size over the last day. What's typical when there's an influx of new users in the Fediverse are intros.

I'm Chris, your friendly neighborhood admin. I also run accounts at @atomicpoet, @[email protected], and @[email protected].

I've been active on the Fediverse for 4 years.

Here in Vancouver, I've worked with a few start-ups, but am semi-retired right now. I've been active in the social media industry for almost 15 years.

While social has paid the bills, I spend a good portion of my time making art. I run r/Sizz on Reddit, and have an extensive collection of vinyl, cassettes, CDs, and reel-to-reel tapes.

I also love video games. In fact, I have too many. I should probably get rid of some, but I have an unhealthy attachment to them.

Finally, I love my Aeropress and brew lots of coffee with it.

Reel to reel tapes - that's impressive.

I got rid of almost all my records and cassettes in 2004. Many years later, I'm slowly building the collection up, but the cost and the space needed stops me from growing the collection too quickly.

#Books #artist here and also new here. On my first cuppa French press and more groggy than bloggy yet. It's amazing to find a place where I'm not afraid to post my work for fear of image theft.

Guessing a lot of newbies don’t understand federation. You introduced yourself as an admin. That is bound to make people think that is your job. That isn’t correct of course, but from a person who doesn’t understand federation it’s an easy mistake to make.

@zyegor because your instance is new and doesnt see any posts from before you start following someone. If you want to see older posts to check out what a user has posted in the past open their profile in a new tab or window in a browser and then you should see all the old posts, alternatively you might want to get on a larger instance that has been around longer if this annoys you
