Nic Dafis@bryontreece Once the new version of Mastodon drops, you'll be able to follow hashtags like people, which will make creating "virtual communities" a bit easier. Or you could start your own server 😉
@nic thanks…I wish I could do that! 😆 It’s funny that you mention following hashtags, because just before I saw this message from you, I just posted asking if anybody knows how to pin a hashtag because I’ve read a few times that you can, but I can’t seem to figure it out! 😖

If you want to try out the advanced web interface for Mastodon, I made short video on how to pin a hashtag search. 1. In Preferences, Enable advanced web interface and save. 2. Go Back to your Mastodon start page. 3. Search for #FediTips 4. Click search result 5. In the column that appears, open column settings (top right icon) 6. Select “Pin” and the column will stay in your layout and update automatically 7. You can add more hashtags to the same column, if you want. https://vimeo.com/768236701
