Damian PoddębniakI'm wondering what happend to #Diaspora. Similar to Mastodon, it's a federated social network -- even the first of its kind? -- but has some features such as "circles". I havn't really used it for many years but my account on a german node still works. Props to the admins :-) I remember that I liked the community but disliked the UX. 10 years ago, things havn't changed much. Nice community, not so nice UX.

joindaspora.com died sadly but there are still many other pods.
They are about to release version 1 that is a revamp of almost everything: API, account migration, improvements to the protocol... So really worthy to keep an eye on it!
