Four days ago: huh this place is empty. Ooh I can follow three parked accounts

Yersterday morning: maybe 10% or so of the people I follow regularly on the bird site are here

Now: huh think it's fully half or more are here

It's a flood peeps. Never thought I'd see anything like it

@Pwnallthethings Such a great start, here's hoping it's still as alive (or more) a couple of months from now
@danny I was skeptical before. But it seems to have enough folks to be self-sustaining, especially with a few cosmetic fixes that the devs seem to be already considering
@Pwnallthethings @danny We (the collective we that care about things like the platforms we use) always knew that the future would be an open and decentralized platform. The problem was also getting the network efforts going. The recent exodus was the black swan moment we needed. Reminds me of various social migrations like Slashdot -> Fark -> Digg -> Reddit or MySpace->FB.
@eclipxe @Pwnallthethings @danny TBH this mass migration should be freaking out Meta. If this could happen to Twitter, why wouldn't it happen to FB/Insta. The number of ads on those services is SO HIGH that all it'd take is a spark IMO
