For people new to mastodon for whom things feel slow: I switched from the main mastodon.social server to a smaller one (zirk.us) and things are MUCH MUCH faster.
@cavar So far!! I just followed like 80 historians and philosophers of science so maybe it's about to feel very large! But I like very much the local aspect of #zirk.us so far
