@joran I did a paper on the meaning of 'fuck off' in the workplace for a course in employment law about 20 years ago. The tutor's comments were "top swearing :)" as she gave me an A+
@joran shame I didn't keep a copy, it was about how the phrase varied in meaning between types of workplace, status, and context - how it can mean anything from 'you're fired' to 'you can take the rest of the day off' or from 'I resign' to 'no thank you'.
