Everyone loves sunsets, but moonsets are even cooler if you ask me. Here's one I shot a while back from ESO's Paranal Observatory in Chile, with the Moon setting over the Pacific Ocean. The layered structure of the atmosphere distorted the image of the Moon as it got closer to the horizon, shaping it like the melting clock in Dalí's famous painting 'The Persistence of Memory'.
