Another #NewHere question is sometimes media or posts seem hidden, except they’re not as when you click on them they display (not ones that have a content warning- I mean nice posts)- why is that?

I think it depends on:
1. how you have decided content will be displayed/what the default is (i.e. in settings)
2. how the tooter set the preferences for their post (I hid the media in my post just because I could).

@alisonmccandlish my client app (“Mastonaut”), like many others, has media visibility settings which control this (see attached image). If memory serves me, the Web-based frontend also allows this in settings.
