Introduction time...

I'm Steve and I've been in Technology and Security since the 90s. My first computers were a TI-99/4a and a TRS-80 Model III. Throughout my career I've held staff and management positions in public utility, veteran's organizations, health, banking, government, telecom and aerospace manufacturing, and other areas.

In my free time I roast my own coffee, served as an advisory board member that helped design a currently in production espresso machine, I make pizza in one of my many Ooni pizza ovens (yes I own more than one.... I'm weird)... and I also own an assortment of Blackmagic Design cameras and ATEM streaming devices where I play around with recording and developing training content and various personal projects.

Oh... and for some reason I own 6 guitars.... :P

@tacoman_x86 *mumbles something about hours of Parsec with the speech synthesizer voice module and the 300 baud acoustic coupler modem*

The emulators of it out there are fun to play with sometimes.

Eventually we had an Intellivision as a game system.... Then I ventured off into 8088 and onward PC stuff.

@SteveS I played so much Parsec on dad’s TI with the speech synth! We had a Terminal Emulator cartridge, but nothing to dial to and no adjacent phone. I didn’t know how the modem even worked until much later.

@tacoman_x86 oh... I was constantly getting on various local BBS systems dialing the rotary phone until it rang and started beeping. Shove the handset in the coupler....

We also had the giant expansion box....
