A lot of us are marginalized or at risk in some way, and this is the safe place where they can share without fear of being outed and harassed. Publishing whole threads with usernames would take away this safe place. Or it would force them to post 'followers only', which would silence their voices on the platform.
So, unless this app automatically hides the usernames: better don't?
