Unpopular tech opinions:

1) React was a mistake. Every JS dev should switch to WebComponents + SvelteJS.

2) Firefox is the best mobile browser by far - because it's the only one that supports extensions.

3) asdf should probably create a package manager to get rid of npm, yarn, bundler, pip/poetry/virtualenv, cargo etc. Package management doesn't need to be reinvented by every language.

4) systemd, pulseaudio, gnome are ... FINE.

@nilesh 2) I heard that Brave browser also supports extensions.

3) That's that GNU GUIX and NIX projects are trying to be from what I have read about them. GUIX seems more interesting to me because it is using LISP. :)

@stevenclyman

2) Brave doesn't support add-ons on mobile: https://community.brave.com/t/chrome-extensions-brave-mobile-browser/300189/11

3) I'm building a project ( https://github.com/nomeata/incredible ) using NIX as we speak. It's been building just the dependencies for more than 40 minutes. Yet to get to building the project. Not a fan. 🙂
