@starline Different instances/servers. It’s ultimately only for cosmetics.

If you want to primarily present as an artist, something with “art” in it could be good. If you want to be seen as Californian, e.g., there’s probably something for that as well.

[If you decide to move to another instance, there’s a migration/redirect option in the settings. So, that’s cool.]

@starline that are different instance. Like if you had a email account at Google or Microsoft. They are not related in any kind, apart from using the same software and being part of the same network
