Studies have shown poor balance can be associated with serious health problems – as well as increased risks of falls as we get older. But there are ways to make yours better

@Gerberagirl Six years ago, not før a second. Had pretty much zero proprioception in my legs. Combined with middle ear, spasticity in the sacro and glutes, tendinitis in the hips, and muscles simply not do I what they are told, I fell over a lot. Still have multiple issues, and often struggle for walk (use stick(s), walker) but heaps better thanks to the instruction of a really good sports physio.

So 100% agree with the physio route. (Combined with ultrasound studies.)

@Gerberagirl Anyway, lots going on, none of it good, but the right exercise prescription can work wonders. Used to lift weights (functional strength training) before I got really sick so know how to perform exercises, plus have all the equipment, so just needed the expertise to tell me WHAT to do.

And feet? Mine are seriously buggered. The intervention there was simple: wear nothing but Birkenstoks! Although that took a few false starts.

I hope to get some resolution with your PITA feet.

@grumpysmiffy I've been using orthotics but I will be honest and say that the most relief I get is from wearing my skechers. I'm tripping every day now, I have a lot of hope pinned on the physio.
Thank you for your kind words and advice, wishing you resolutions too
