A bunch of newcomers just flooded into an established online community.

Folks who’ve been here a while have every right to feel concerned about how it’ll change, and irked at the etiquette and norm violations I’m sure we’re committing.

But all I’ve come across so far is welcome messages, helpful tips, FAQs, and positivity. To the established Mastodon users who’ve welcomed us n00bs, thank you.

(And if any irked folks see this, I’m sorry!)

@sanjaysrivastava Same impression, and THANK YOU to the community
@sanjaysrivastava isn’t the whole idea of this place that they don’t have to see any of us if they don’t want and our crap content can’t be jammed down their throats by Elon’s algorithms?

@sanjaysrivastava

You're fine.

Twitter: Conditioning people to assume they're offensive since 2006.

@sanjaysrivastava Another example of Eternal September. I've had the same worries, but thankfully only positive interactions
