Kathy BaxterMastodon experts: I have attempted to post a 3 sec video & it said "processing" for several minutes w/ the Publish button grayed out. I gave up & attempted to attach a photo. It too said "processing" for what seemed far too long before I gave up. Is this common & I just need to give it 5 min. or longer to "process"?

Mark O. Riedl@baxterkb I've noticed that the mastodon.social service is struggling under the influx of new users today. Hopefully they will be able to get this sorted soon. I guess this is the downside of not having a giant tech company either paying for or managing a ton of server capacity.
@Riedl Thank you! It didn't occur to me that it might be a server issue given the massive influx of users. I thought I was doing something wrong.
