I went and preordered the Analogue Super Nt and Mega Sg since it looks like they're not gonna be made after this run?

I want to make sure I have a SNES and a Genesis that will (hopefully) still work decades later, even if they are reverse engineered clones rather than the original.

I would like to keep the originals I have working if I can too - I imagine I'll need to eventually replace the capacitors, but that shouldn't be awful.

I always ignored most of the clone consoles because I'm not really in their target audience (and I'd rather just use the original consoles) but thinking about the longterm... yeah, sure I'm interested.

I thought about getting an Analogue Pocket to go with it, but I've got sooooo many handhelds that can play Game Boy games already.

Several of which can fit in my pocket, a few of which have the original Game Boy form factor (because they happen to be original Game Boys) and several of which can emulate lots of things other than Game Boy.

And if I want a handheld that can emulate a wide variety of things... well I bought a device for that from Valve earlier this year.

It's really sinking in that "Q4 2023" is a reallllly really long wait for a product. That's ok, I guess it means I just get to have a cool Christmas present to myself next year.
On one hand, really long wait for something. On the other hand, having cool stuff to look forward to is something I definitely need, and this gets to help with that.
@NovaSquirrel I got an Nt Mini Noir even though I already had an AVS largely because I might want to have it available for compatibility testing later.
