Adobe and Pantone just broke up.

Unrelated: Affinity does a great job opening and editing Adobe files. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/

@mwlucas So where is the problem here?

I can talk hours to speak badly about Apode but what is exactly the problem? Capitalism?

You buy this once and last forever (or at least 10 years)

https://www.pantone.com/products/graphics/formula-guide-coated-uncoated

@freezr interesting! A onetime $192 is better than the $21/month Adobe is charging.
@mwlucas Pantwo doesn't sell inks but formulas to render colors, which exist because the physics and chemistry...

@freezr yes, of course.

Adobe charging $21/month for this integration is ridiculous.

@mwlucas Adobe alerted way more before this would be happened.

Now this is the reality you have to pay for it, if you need you pay and you will charge you customers also for this, if you don't need Pentwo you can use other colors charter, or you buy the guide and make the colors by yourself.

It looks ridiculous complaining about this detail when the whole situation is the real problem. Cloud is a shit, is a shit built upon 99% opensource stack... Long live to the opensource...

Speaking about "good" OpenSource, using the color guide has been the only method to use Pentwo on DTP software like Scribus.

@mwlucas I'm a recent Adobe unsubscriber and Affinity user and I couldn't be happier.
