G-NitroTime to kick off the Fall Anime season first episode thoughts, and if worth watching further, I may post 2nd episode thoughts!
Reincarnated as a Sword (Episode 1):
Great 1st episode. Was worried about animation quality, but it looks great. Good humor and action. Fran isn’t as stoic as the light novels, but it isn’t really an issue. Great start!
Beast Tamer (Episode 1):
Holy crap this is so generically bland. EMT Squared once again showing how great they are at creating absolutely the most mediocre shows. At one point Kanade does a kick and its the absolute worst animation lol.
My Master Has No Tail (Episode 1):
I was hoping the anime would pull me in where the manga didn’t, but I still felt uninterested. It looks great, but the whole Rakugo story-telling is not my bag.
I think people should give it a chance though.
I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss (Episode 1):
Hilarious otome game villainess show for this season. Was super surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Love Aileen and Claude Jean both, but the birds are the highlight!
Raven of the Inner Palace (Episode 1):
Great looking show, and well done in both characters and story. This episode is the first part of a story arc, and damn I got invested fast.
I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills (Episode 1):
This show has terrible character design, and awful animation. Worse than Beast Tamer only because the CGI dragon is absolute trash. Not as slice of life as it claims to be.
Management of a Novice Alchemist (Episode 1):
Okay first episode, so its pretty much all setup for the rest of the series. Animation is done well, and I like the characters so far. I’ll definitely give it another episode to see where it goes.
Shinobi no Ittoki (Episode 1):
This is so dumb. This whole premise is absolutely stupid! So everyone around him tricked the MC for his whole life, then he almost gets killed and learns the family secret. Just no, if the setup is this bad... ugh
The Human Crazy University (Episode 1):
Boring AF. A dark comedy that really isn't much comedy. It tries, but continuously fails... I'm mad I sat through a whole episode lol
The Eminence in Shadow (Episode 1):
Show started off like a dating sim anime, and turned in to a Chuunibyo battle junkie ride. Brutal, bloody, and well animated. Holy shit, that twist. O_O Let's go!
Do It Yourself!! (Episode 1):
Cute Girls Doing Cute Things witha DIY club. Super cute, with great animation style and characters… except the Tsundere girl. A tad annoying there. Will watch more.
Bibliophile Princess (Episode 1):
Super pretty aesthetics and character design. Eli is a bit dense (it's cute tho), and there's a lot of awkward and tense moments for her that occur that arent explained. We'll see if episode 2 clears them up.
Akiba Maid War (Episode 1):
I knew what I was getting in to and I still feel like that wasn't enough. While the contrast between the moe and the violence is the draw of the show, yeah I'm not down with it to be honest. That ending theme song tho. 🔥
More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers (Episode 1):
Show has gorgeous environments. It's a really dumb presence and already is using misunderstandings as plot points. A tired trope, but it's not terrible so far. Probably won't watch weekly.
Immoral Guild (Episode 1):
Just no! I’m not even upset about the ecchi stuff (that was expected). The lack of animation is so crazy, and it only continues with moments of awkward stills. Just go watch hentai for equally bad animation and actual porn lol.
Bocchi The Rock! (Episode 1):
Immediately I could tell this was a 4-koma manga adaptation. Jokes hit super fast, and in exaggerated fashion. Its not a negative though, as it's really funny. Look forward to more music.
Love Flops (Episode 1):
Ecchi Rom-com harem in somewhat futuristic setting. It wasted no time introducing the girls, and there's a hilarious moment in the classroom with them all. Animation is pretty good too. Will probably give a 2nd episode.
Urusei Yatsura (2022) (Episode 1):
This was a fun 1st episode. Animation is well done. Keeps the same ridiculous humor! Love that they kept the settings of the time, and didn't try to set it in present day. Need more now!
