The difference is that all of those things are defaults that Firefox deliberately made easy to change.

Meanwhile Google is making it impossible to change Chrome, if you want to go back to no ads.

Firesfoxes imperfect is still vastly superior to Google's appalling.

@Blort @martijnbraam also I'd like to add two things:
1. considering that the people told to switch to FF are those that use various extensions, they are likely to disable this.
2. many of those giving the recommendation to switch either recommend going to a fork of FF or to go through ffprofile.com first

@martijnbraam the crazy thing I'm finding with the Chrome vs Firefox, is that every Chrome based browser on my Android device constantly freeze and stop responding but the 2 Firefox based browsers do not.
