After having one of my worst breakdowns two days ago, I realized I should probably go back to my mindfulness classes. It's just funny how back then I couldn't afford it but I had the time for it, and now that I can afford it I don't have enough time for it. See, as long as I have to work my ass off in order to survive, I am still part of the working class. The middle class is a myth created by the elite to make people believe that someday they'll be part of the elite too.
@mayumemes the middle class actually used to be a thing. back in the 70s, you could buy a home, raise a family, and live comfortably on minimum wage. (when you adjust for inflation, minimum wage was $27 an hour!) then Ronald Reagan came into office and ruined everything
@salarua I don't live in the US (thank god) and like what I said, as long as you have to keep busting your ass off in order to keep on living, you are a part of the working class, even if you're earning more than the other working class people. The elite doesn't have to do that - they rely on their profit from exploiting the working class
