For a couple of years now, I've been working on creating a board game themed around robotics competitions. At last, I feel like it's at a point where I'm comfortable sharing with a larger audience!
Arena Robot League (working title) is a 1-4 player game where you build up your team to assemble robots. Over the course of several rounds, your robots will get bigger and better!
One of the starting Robot cards - the gray portion at the bottom is where cards will stack. Each robot card is dual purpose, and can either be a chassis or a subsystem on an existing robot!
Each subsystem adds either an ability, or a die. When you pilot the robot, you roll all the dice for it to determine how well you do.
Of course, you can't just build robots. You also need to build up your team, recruiting new students and using their strengths to get the most done that you can!
