@thebiologist1117 this is so saaaaaaad 😢

@frankie They played that song in #Click, the saddest comedy I've ever seen.
@frankie I think I got depression from watching #Click, and I still haven't recovered.
@lydiaconwell What's the saddest comedy you've ever seen?
@futureisfoss Rokosun?
@futureisfoss Wait, I want to tag your name. #Rokosun?
@futureisfoss #Frankie reminded me of an interesting movie, #Click, which was so sad because it was about a person who... this is spoilers... accidentally fast-forwards through their entire life by skipping the boring bits. Before they knew it, they couldn't stop the remote from fast-forwarding, and they completely lost control of their lives and missed their kids growing up. There's a scene where he finally gets control again, and he's in the hospital... His kids are leaving in the rain, and he takes himself off life support to go and chase them... then he dies and they can't even hear him because the rain is too loud.

I don't know if I should read this because I haven't seen the movie click..... 🤔

Em, would you recommend this movie?

@futureisfoss Well, it's hard to say... for the most part, it's just a cheesy comedy like Mall Cop, Ace Ventura, or Bruce Almighty, but it does take an extremely sad turn about halfway through, and it is shockingly sad.
@thebiologist1117
Jim carry has some movies like that, have you seen Truman show? Also "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" is a good movie, its a very bittersweet experience, but I liked it. After watching that movie I became intersted and wanted fo watch more charlie kaufman movies (he wrote the script of that move).
@futureisfoss Yup! My philosophy teacher had us watch it.

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind?

I think most of Charlie Kaufman's movies are philosophical in nature, most of his movies had to deal with the human mind. Coincidentally, not long after I saw the movie, someone from TROM's matrix room send us this speech by him - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRfXcWT_oFs

I've only seen a few of his movies, and while they're not of everyone taste, I liked watching his unique way of presenting stories.
