midway@atomicpoet @Samarskite That is objectively false. The US dollar is quite stable. Metals can work but they are highly inefficient. Plants or anything that anyone can grow themselves is not a serious option for what I hope ate obvious reasons.

No, Putin would take dollars for oil but those dollars have been frozen by us. He’s resorting to Rubles and certain banks because we can’t freeze those assets.

Yes. The government ultimately controls all land. Your title grants you certain rights to it but that is not absolute. This goes all the way back to William the Conqueror. If you want absolute control of the land you must defeat the government and kick them off. Good luck with that. While the Taliban proved that’s possible, it’s far less likely here.
