It's interesting having two (for the moment) Mastodon accounts running. i have been at @mcdanlj for a few years, and now also am at @mcdanlj — which means that I get to see how well notifications flow around the fediverse, at least between those two accounts.

I'll *probably* end up redirecting my account at mastodon.cloud to the one at social.makerforums.info since I run that one. But I'm new to this running Mastodon thing! ☺

I'm curious about this, too! I should figure out how to connect my many fediverse accounts - I've been on mastodon.social and pixelfed.social for a few years, and I have several other accounts on various pleroma servers. I've never tried connecting them.

@cathos @mcdanlj Right now my account mutually follow each other, so I've decided to start by boosting the first posts of threads that might have interest so that my followers on my old account see them without having to redirect my account.

I don't even know whether Pleroma implements account redirect, but at least Mastodon does. The point is that if you redirect your account, people who follow you will follow the redirect to the new account.

@cathos as far as I know this is transitive, so if you redirect and then redirect again from there it keeps working, but this is definitely ouside my experience. ☺
