How long, on average, does it take you to have a completed second draft of a novel-length work?
Zan Zastrow@lfarnsworth I have a few really good beta readers who follow the work in progress and make criticisms/suggestions as the book develops. So the second draft only takes 3-4 weeks, tying up loose ends and working on continuity. It’s an odd process, but very efficient!
@zzastrow Oh wow, those are some very dedicated beta readers! Are they fellow writers, professional (paid) beta readers, or generally friends/family?
@lfarnsworth They’re mostly friends & family, but dedicated readers/writers themselves and highly intelligent. I’m lucky to have them!
