so Iβm bored

I also have enabled a dedup tool, bees
https://github.com/Zygo/bees
it uses 90% of my CPU but worth it
hereβs how to use bees on btw i use arch:
sudo pacman -S beessudo cp /etc/bees/beesd.conf.sample /etc/bees/beesd.conf/etc/bees/beesd.conf to set UUID and DB_SIZEsudo ln -s /usr/lib/systemd/system/[email protected] /usr/lib/systemd/system/beesd@$WHATEVER_THE_UUID_IS.service
duperemove instead but I dunno block-based dedup is cooler
bees has given me back ~100GB so far!!! :blobcatrainbow::blobcatrainbow::blobcatrainbow::blobcatrainbow::blobcatrainbow:systemd-journald[453]: [π‘] Suppressed 17944 messages from beesd
#ahmm, bees seems #stucc, guess ~125GB was all the savings it could do
which, honestly? good job

rebooted, havenβt noticed Zstd much at all yetβ¦ I do notice my extra GBs tho
guess if I finish off by cleaning up files I no longer need, I could actually get the 2TB SSD I wanted kinda
pacman -Scc, this is the result!
πHopefully this helps me to forget my storage issues (a new SSD can wait!) and focus on working instead
so ye, π
