it uses 90% of my CPU but worth it

here’s how to use bees on btw i use arch:

  • sudo pacman -S bees
  • sudo cp /etc/bees/beesd.conf.sample /etc/bees/beesd.conf
  • Edit /etc/bees/beesd.conf to set UUID and DB_SIZE
  • sudo ln -s /usr/lib/systemd/system/[email protected] /usr/lib/systemd/system/beesd@$WHATEVER_THE_UUID_IS.service
  • Start(/enable) the service!

    you probably want to go with duperemove instead but I dunno block-based dedup is cooler

    rebooted, haven’t noticed Zstd much at all yet… I do notice my extra GBs tho 

    guess if I finish off by cleaning up files I no longer need, I could actually get the 2TB SSD I wanted kinda

    @xerz is this btrfs? I have a storage issue on my 256gb laptop because I dualbooted and gave Arch only 32 GB. stretching out methods to last til I get a job and buy a shiny new 512 and enclosuee for the old
