@kiwi2002 I love my childhood Star Wars memories. My dad likes to tell the story of when we saw The Empire Strikes Back and he didn't think I liked it, but after the movie I explained that I didn't appreciate them trying to pass off Bert from Sesame Street as that Yoda guy. 😆​
I saw Return of the Jedi the day it came out - a Wednesday after school! - and when I got home I immediately told my sister that Darth Vader was indeed Luke's father. She has never forgiven me. I proceeded to see VI in theaters 5 more times that summer. Back in those days it was easy to go to the bathroom after the movie and hang out for a minute, then go back into the theater for the next showing.
As for Star Trek - some of my earliest memories are watching syndicated episodes of TOS with my dad and humming along to the theme song.
