@boilingsteam hey, one question on Guix: Can I run distributed builds with it like with Nix? I'd like to use it on a very old computer I've got and offload the builds to another system

@NickSeagull @boilingsteam Yes, I believe so! There are binary substitutes officially available as well. For offloading I think you want this https://guix.gnu.org/en/manual/devel/en/html_node/Daemon-Offload-Setup.html (Also, I think several people do exactly what you want, so feel free to ask on the Guix IRC channel too)

@boilingsteam Guix, at least for me, seems a little too far off the traditional Linux paradigm that I am fine staying on my Arch based distros for now. NixOS might be a good choice for those who want something similar, as was briefly touched on
