4. My research is on Chipless RFIDs for renewable energy applications.

@theshan yes, as fas as I know you need some way of handling the transmission. How if not using chips? :o

@lerk interesting question. We use the RCS backscattering to determine the signal. You could say we use the same analogy of using a simple bar code.

So you scan using radar instead of inducing power and receiving a transmission?

Could you supply some kind of link so I can read more into it? 🙈

@lerk Um.... Almost correct. It depends on the technology we use. For an example, if you use SAW technology, you do induce a sound wave and take an electrical signal out of it via a transducer.

@lerk as for the link, I'm not quite sure but there are tons of research papers on IEEE. Look for books written by Prof. Nemai Chandra Karmakar from Monash University. I refer to his books most of the time.
