@volpeon if it's the same material in thinking of, you can remove it using isopropynol then you usually just get the hard plastic underneath

@volpeon Worst thing is, that kind of soft rubber coating is on so many peripherals now like mice and keyboards. Sure it feels great in the first few months, but after that you can usually throw the device away.
