I would love an option to have a generalized feed. Why is it that people choose to put their toots into their subsheading?
It should be toggle to toot but toots should be free to be seen whomever. Specific feeds, but more open tweets.

The "local" and "global" feeds in the web interface are most certain "generalized feed" 😄
@stux Well I am a junior scholar. I went to follow someone with the @scholar.social tag and saw that their toot was obscured. I am unsure why, but my guess was because they chose to share it only with a smaller community. Is the point of the secondary tags to create more community? It seems unnecessarily segregated.
I guess the idea is that it's like reddit, but reddit is different because the user profile is almost non existent when making a post, that contrary to the user identity of mstdn.
Just getting a sort of it. I am not computer oriented.
