@hacknorris @cjd actually, international French engagement will be safe with Macron president, even with a far right congress and PM.
And some of the more radical institutionel changes will be blocked by Macron, so some damage will be contained.
Regardless, a far right congress is very unlikely to happen, given the way our General Elections are almost rigged against extrem.

@cjd @hacknorris the 577 deputés are elected (almost) exactly the same way our president is, there are two turns.
Candidates who receives the majority of the ballot cast and also 25% of the registered voters are elected on the first turn.
Candidates who received more then 12.5% of the registered voter get to pass to the second turn, and second turn is as usual.
If only one candidate passes this thershold, the next better candidate is also selected to ensure a minimum of 2 candidates.
