These male white supremacists/alt-righters (heretofore referred to as scumbags) often have unchecked raging Asian fetishes, which, as we know, come from a long ass legacy of Western imperialism in East and Southeast Asia (we can talk about South Asia too but right now I'm focusing on E and SE Asia).

What are the stereotypes we have about Asian women?
-subservient, obedient
-delicate
-perpetually youthful and never aging (therefore always fuckable)
-slim, pale-skinned (or not TOO dark-skinned)
-completely and utterly devoted to their Man
-exotic and sexually experienced without being sluts

The scumbags have no reason to ~unlearn~ said fetishes, and in fact, the stereotype feeds a LOT of the appeal of Asian women for the scumbags.

Enter another key part of this phenomenon:

What's the alternative? And, what is the alternative if you hate all other people of color? Well, you choose the Next Best Thing - and it helps enormously if the scumbag projects all of the aforementioned stereotypes WRT domesticity, subservience, youth, etc onto that Thing.

That's the appeal of Asian women to white male supremacists and the alt-right. Unsurprising, right?

Now of course this begs the question - why do Asian women GO ALONG WITH THIS SHIT?! Don't they KNOW?!

Yes and no. I can't speak to every relationship's ins and outs, because it would come as no surprise that a lot of these scumbags are abusive and controlling their wives/girlfriends (or hiding/underplaying their beliefs!), but there ARE some overlapping shared interests that we absolutely have to address.

Racial hierarchies are not simply a Western thing. Asian countries also have their own fucked-up racial and ethnic hierarchies while also absorbing some of the aspects of Western racism. This means that anti-blackness is RAMPANT in Asia AND Asian diasporas.

So that's something these two groups have in common - scumbags and these women share a mutual distrust and hatred of black people, globally and in the US.

Here's a little personal testimony on this: from my own life, my Chinese mother has told me many times how relieved her mother was when she announced her engagement to my white dad - "at least it wasn't a Black man." Anti-blackness is a PROBLEM in our communities, but it's rarely/if ever addressed.

Jeffrey Dillon, the man who tried to run over AHCA protestors in SF, said this on his Facebook - "Yell 'White Pride' and people look at you like ive got a clan outfit on... I married a slant eye import, so you know i aint racist 😉"

Besides the obvious racist description of his wife Teresa, she's being used as a specific token of how Not Racist he is.

Additionally - who was one of the first celebrity Alt-Right figures?

Tila Fucking Tequila, a Vietnamese woman who comes from a family of refugees. No white supremacist disavowed her. She was welcomed into their fold, because she's hot and cute and perky and highly antisemitic.

Now that I've laid out all of this... are we still surprised at how many male white supremacists are dating/married to Asian women?

Now, I say NONE of this to give anyone license to hate on Asian women (Asian men, I'm looking at y'all. Y'all are messy and often treat us Asian women as your property too. Cut it the fuck out).

I say all of this to point out that there are too many of these alt-right scumbags for us to be surprised anymore. Accept it, and use these relationships as MORE reason to destroy white supremacy.

We look at Elliot Rodger and Dylann Roof and we can see the uneasy but CONSISTENT relationship between white supremacy in America and Asian purity politics.

Rodger considered himself superior because he was a "perfect blend" between his Chinese mother and white father. He killed his Chinese roommates first. An entire section of Roof's manifesto is dedicated to praising the armies and ethnonationalism of East Asia.
