So how do we think they’re gonna kill Boba Fett for good at the end of this season? 🤔

This started as a shitpost shower thought, but the more I think about it, the more hilarious it seems while also making perfect sense.

It’s “The Book of Boba Fett.” Not The Escapades of Boba Fett. Not The Continuing Adventures of Boba Fett. The book. Books have an end.

Can you IMAGINE the nerd rage over Lucasfilm resurrecting Boba Fett only to immediately kill him back off? 🤣 How would it play out? It’d have to contrast his original death; rather than a meaningless accident, it would be a sacrifice with great purpose. It would be Boba’s choice
Young Boba Fett held a grudge against the Jedi who beheaded his father. He watched that Jedi Order fall, the Republic it served transform into the brutal Empire. Now he has relearned the value of family and loyalty. He helped a stranger of his shared creed rescue his family.
What if Grogu is in trouble? Boba Fett and Mando team up once again to help, and it winds up in an impossible situation: Mando has to choose whether to save Boba Fett—an outcast from the creed like himself—or Grogu, his unlikely found family.
Rather than make Mando make that decision, Boba Fett sacrifices himself. He understands he and his kind are the old way, and that The Child is the future. He believes found family is more valuable than shared lineage.
He stays behind to face Grand Admiral Thrawn in an impossible battle, allowing Mando and Grogu to escape. Thrawn wields the Darksaber—the symbol that is a combination of Boba Fett’s lineage and the Jedi who murdered his father—and uses it to behead Boba Fett. An undeniable death.
Okay fine I absolutely don’t see how this would play out across the couple of chapters left. 🙃 It was a fun thought exercise though.

Also why was Thrawn here, wielding the Darksaber? Because:

1. All roads lead to Thrawn; he HAS to be showing up.

2. Boba Fett needs to be bested by a superior warrior, and IMHO Thrawn fits the bill.

3. Thrawn craves power, but my theory is he also wishes to unite the Empire’s known galaxy against a greater threat from the Unknown Regions/The Chaos: The Grisk. He’s strategically regaining control over the crumbling Empire and sees the Mandalorian remnants as a powerful ally.
Anyway this is getting SUPER nerdy into the weeds. Maybe I should go write some fan fiction. 😬 But I also want to know what @[email protected] and crew have up their sleeves for this era, and can’t wait for it all to unfold.
Oh, and I was just reminded Dave Filoni is directing tomorrow's episode... and ILM has tweeted about it. What are we gonna see? 😬

@cassidyjames just one word:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

ok I over exaggerated a bit there

@cassidyjames I think Mando is going to learn how to use the dark saber ... Eventually
@cassidyjames that would be a mess I'd pay to watch
@cassidyjames Death by sarlaac. PLOT TWIST!
