@Eve Athena looks through the magic eye and nearly jumps when she sees Eve. The redhead hasn't prepared herself, surely Eve can't see her like this!
The goddess unlocks the door and sprints back to a distance closer to her dressing room. "Come in, it's open!"
@Athena Eve enters and is immediately confused upon not seeing the person who opened the door.
“Um… Where are you, Athena?” She looks around with an arched brow. “I grew you a rose as lovely as you are.”
@Athena Eve is as yet unaware of the hurried lengths that Athena is going to in order to look presentable. But if she were aware, Eve would appreciate the effort.
“Take your time, darling!” She calls out.
Just then, Chatty flies in from the courtyard and lands on the table in the foyer. The owl chitters at Eve, who responds with a blush. “You truly do see us as an item, don’t you? Well, I shall endeavor to prove you right, my avian friend.” A wink from Chatty.
@Eve Athena doesn't know how much time has passed since she unlocked the door, but it feels like forever. Her rush to look presentable has made her perception of time warped.
Nonetheless, eventually she shows up in the exact same look she had when she first met Eve. Slicked back hair and all.
"Hello, Eve. Welcome back. What brings you here?"
@Athena “A night out on the town.” At this, Chatty turns their head around to look at the two women. “You look wonderful, by the way.” Eve holds the rose out to Athena. “For you.”
Eve senses no major sin in the goddess, but there is the lingering twinge of the wrong done to her by the deity of the seas.
@Eve The redhead's cheeks almost match her hair color when she sees the rose. "T-thank you... I'm so flattered." Robotically exclaiming her emotions, after a lifetime of bottling them up.
Keeping the rose in her hand, Athena moves to put a plate of food down for her owls before going back to her seat. "Why are you so interested in me, anyway? I'm not that exciting."
@Athena “You’re dating the deity of the oceans and, one assumes, by extension their wife, the goddess of beauty. Anyone who can handle all that is someone worth knowing—intimately or otherwise.”
In irony to their moniker, Shy flutters in and lands next to their owner. The bird screeches softly before begging for a snack.
@Eve "It's not always that I can handle them. At least they're not that needy, otherwise I'd be so tired..."
When the shy owl comes in, Athena reaches inside a small bag and puts some food in front of her pet for it to enjoy.
@Athena “Not a word will pass these lips.” Eve tells Shy and Chatty to give her and Athena the room, and the two owls fly off to the garden.
“What beckons you so to their attention? Aside from the physical aspect, of course.”
@Eve "They've always been there to help me when I need someone, and their personality is just what I look for in a partner.
...and the looks, but that's not very important..."
