There is a high chance that in about 10 years robots will have entert our routine daylife doing reproductive work for us while acting as being humans.

They will act as if they would have emotions and are capable of learning.

In this moment ppl are working on these type of #ai and are pretty far already.

Have a look here: http://www.hansonrobotics.com/

What's your opinion on that?

@paulfree14 Robots are already common, people just don't realize what could be a robot.
@Zulgrib yes, but there are robots and artificial intelligence.
until now intelligent and autonom robots are just under development.
@paulfree14 Depends at which point of automation you place artificial intelligence.
@Zulgrib true. these for example automated vacum cleaner exist since a while. but would call it intelligence. ...it's just mesuring and then following the programed code
@paulfree14 Depending on the bar, a human like reaction could follow the same measurements and not be an AI then.
@Zulgrib now I have no idea anymore where you're planning to go with your arguments.
@paulfree14 An AI will always just react to measurements as coded, human does react to measurements.
When you're cold you get some warmer cloths, that's reacting to a temperature measurement done by your body in real time.
@Zulgrib if one is capable of learning it can overwrite the code. you could anker youself to always sing and turn in circles if you're cold.
you could also maintain your brain to block the feeling of cold.
AI will always react as the their own logic describes. which is strongly anchord how programmed, as it is with our biases as well.
@paulfree14 AI could ignore cold because it would be more efficient.
Would AI really overwrite code, or only configuration of itself ?
@Zulgrib first just configuration until it learned enough to write it's own code.
think of how it is with humans. babys are much about just adjusting configuations. The key of the mental development it learning. It's about connecting different patterns. Same can done with #AI
@paulfree14 Google has AI doing better code then human, but still not overwriting itself.
