@mood Eee, I was off by 2 hours on the bird migration tracking, it is a little less than 2 hours from now.
I thought I needed to do a time zone conversion, but it had already been done. At least I didn't miss it!
To report back, the talk was really fun and I have added setting up a similar monitoring station to my Someday, Maybe list. I like the idea of an audio-based nature/science project.
It is Someday, Maybe because there was some Windows involved (sounds like not for long), most people currently identify the calls using a visual representation that will eventually be inaccessible to me, and there are privacy implications I'd want to sort out first regarding audio recordings.
