update: misskey is great and you should use it
(at least, so far, that's what the state of things appears to be)
@tost There are drawbacks with prolonged use but not that many. As it is, I feel like I've come back home.
@tost What should I expect in terms of server resource usage? Been thinking of spinning up my own instance, and not sure if my VPS still has free resources for it.
@ignaloidas as of currently, it's using 1% of 1 cpu core and about 100mb of ram
I don't know what it'll look like after a month or so - if you remind me, I'll tell you!
@tost seems like your move to misskey went quite swiftly, so how's the resource usage now?
@ignaloidas basically the same
around 350mb ram operational usage (you need ~2gb to build it, so if you can build it, you can run it)
cpu averages something like 5% utilization, but can spike up for very short periods of time - I suspect that if you have >1 core it won't be an issue (>1 core just to make sure you're not blocking other tasks), even though it might be higher on average
@tost Looks great, thanks! Should I look into some official docs on how to set up or is there something better?
