Like – the villains I can think of are Lady Tremaine, the Evil Queen (brilliant naming there), Maleficent, Cruella, Ursula, the Queen of Hearts – you get what I say?

Disney looking a lil sus

oh and also, I guess Peter Pan is an exception too

Many of these are witches, so I can say "OK they were just rolling with tradition" … but taking those out of consideration still leaves a bit of an odd balance

Then on the 90s, since The Little Mermaid they seemed to shift to what some call "gay coding" – which, bruh if true

@xerz Aren't Gaston, Scar and Frollo white and cishet though? (honest question, I haven't seen those in a while so I may have not noticed the "gay coding" stuff)

@hellpe I've seen Scar used as a prime example. Frollo maybe? Gaston does actually look like he's supposed to be a good guy tho, so points there.
