and then the font rendering on the systems it's run on completely cancels it out.......

apparently the reason why windows font rendering looks so much better than everything else is because microsoft owns patents on cleartype

MOVED TO @haskal@types.pl@xnx38h idk when i put emojis in a slideshow and then someone opens it in Microsoft Powerpoint they see all the emojis as black and white (even when they are variation selector 16) because apparently in 2021 microsoft still can't get color emojis right so....
@xnx38h also like i haven't noticed anything wrong with gnome fonts? did you disable lcd antialiasing or something?
