sometimes i think about how horrified i would be if a website told me upon signup "you must choose one of these 10,000 passwords for your account" and also about how that's what's protecting my bank account
@monorail The continued existence of PINs is a crime.

@monorail it's not great, but you also have to consider that you need a physical thing (a card, which can also be cancelled if it's lost) and you only get a few attempts before it gets locked.

unless your bank doesn't lock out accounts after multiple tries, or lets you log in using a PIN online...
