finished jane bennett's 'vibrant matter' yesterday and it totally pumped me up about making ourselves present to the complex vitalities of material objects! we need to read the differences in our ontology not as an opportunity for vertical hierarchy ⬆️ (with human agency at the top) but as one for horizontal congregation 🔄 (in which 'the human' itself is not even solely human, but comprised of many "things" -- the metal of our blood, the electricity of our neurons, and alike)🖐️
