just finished this belt, it's actually my first finished weaving! unfortunately it shrank waaay more than i expected, so it's too small 😭😭

the good news it that with some ~β€’*Β°mathΒ°*β€’~ i can figure out how long the warp needs to be for the next one

i really need a belt

i need a starting warp length of about 10 or 11 feet. this weaving goes fast and i have a RIDICULOUS amount of this rainbow yarn so I'll probably go for a 12 foot warp, just to be really really safe. I've been agonizing over where to wind such a warp in this apartment that doesn't really have 12 feet of walkable space anywhere. but, I was just outside and realized that the patio of this apartment building has a fence with little spikes sticking up every nine inches or so. it's definitely intended to be hostile architecture, but it's the PERFECT tool for this situation. I'll be using a technique shown in this video https://youtu.be/uWz-wD7Ql8g to shorten the part of the warp that i need to hold under tension, so i don't need to worry about not having 12 straight feet of space
