What do you guys think regarding US Government funding of Signal?

I know that Signal is fully Open Source including the server part unlike, say Telegram, but still. Doesn't it smell a bit?

@lig the simple fact that signal uses the mobile phone is a huge problem. I advise #deltachat (based on email) although it doesn't have native voice support (obviously). It's an excellent app (also available for desktop)
